ADD TO FAVORITES: Americanflat, A New Affordable Source For Great Art

By Lynn Byrne.
Looking for a large scale piece of great art?

Well, there is a new guy in town. Giorgio Piccoli founded an e-commerce site, Americanflat this past November where large scale artwork goes for $250 for a stretched canvas and free home delivery.

It gets better. Americanflat gives back. A portion of each sale goes toward funding an inner-city beautification project in America. Plus everything is made in America. (Click here to read how important that is.)

And even better still, right now, through December 22, you can save some pennies by purchasing the art, on an unstretched canvas, for $95 plus free delivery, through the website, Thrillist.

Giorgio was inspired to create Americanflat when he was trying to furnish his NYC studio apartment and couldn’t afford the art in galleries. He forged partnerships with artists around the globe, and worked with local artisans to create canvases using archival pigment prints.

The website is fun. Much of the art is shown installed, so you can envision how it would look in your own home. Plus there are some behind the scenes video interviews with the artists.

I love that feature. Loyal readers know how much I enjoy insights into the creative mind.

Take a peek at some of the works of art on offer.

Head over to Americanflat to see more. LOVE how it is getting easier and easier to afford great art.

  1. I love it! Walls need art which is the appropriate size and too often people go to small. Price is often a concern. I like this guy’s idea. Hmmm
