A Tony Duquette Sunburst Chandelier Shines In Montauk
By Lynn Byrne. That beauty of a chandelier arrived in 2 boxes and, seemingly, hundreds of pieces.
Take a look. Count ‘em. It took 4 electricians to assemble and install, plus me directing “sun ray” placement. Don’t miss the white gloves, included so there would be no unsightly fingerprints on the brass.
I think the best view might be when you lie down on the bed.
Now we just need to wait for the unlacquered brass to develop a little patina.
UPDATE: PEOPLE HAVE ASKED TO SEE MORE OF THE ROOM. IT IS NOT DONE YET, BUT HERE IS MY MOOD BOARD.

This is amazing..well worth the trouble of getting it together. Just perfect for your gorgeous vaulted ceilings!!
I smile every time I see it! Xo,Lynn

YOU ARE NOT ONLY A GREAT DESIGNER BUT A SAINT TO SO LOVINGLY INSTALL THE SUNBURST FIXTURE!!!… THE CHANDELIER LOOKS AMAZING IN THAT BEAUTIFULLY APPOINTED AND ARCHITECTURALLY SIGNIFICANT ROOM… THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING TONY DUQUETTE FOR REMAINS LIGHTING… WE ARE HONORED!!! THE PHOTO’S MAKE ME WANT TO SING “I SEE A NEW SUN, UP IN A NEW SKY”… WHICH IS THE SONG LIZA MINNELLI SANG TO TONY DUQUETTE WHEN HE OPENED HIS PAVILION IN SAN FRANCISCO WITH ALL OF IT’S AMAZING SUNBURST INSTALLATIONS…

Oh my goodness. I am so touched that you noticed. Actually the room isn’t quite finished yet (a rug, some curtains (off glass) and accessories are coming). When it is complete I will be sure to send you a photo. Everyone is completely thrilled with the chandelier. A total stunner. Kind regards,
Lynn

Looks stellar! How does it look lit at night?

(would love to have heard the conversation of the four electricians installing it too!)
It is stunning. Just beautiful. And once it acquires that patina it will be *amazing*.
Sending you a smile,

It was a bold choice, so I am relieved that it all worked out! Lynn
Beautiful splashes of light all over the ceiling! The electricians just could not believe it–loads of ribbing about the gloves!
That is a beautiful work of art, Lynn!!!! And, I love the ceiling treatment above it. Enjoy the sparkle that it will bring to your foyer and your life!!

Can’t wait to show you the completed room! Thanks!
holy fartboobs!
that is amazing looking….so is the whole space. more of this please.
Thank you Jenny. And thanks for leaving me a comment. More is coming, as soon as the room is “done!” That giant arch window has been leaking like a sieve. Some fixes have been attempted and it did well during a storm last night. Fingers crossed that I can spread my cowhide patchwork rug soon. Curtains and other do dads coming too!
