Gotta Go! Art Hamptons To See the Work of Stiliana Alexieva
By Lynn Byrne. Art Hamptons, a fabulous post-modern and contemporary art fair, starts tomorrow July 8 and runs through Sunday, July 11. It is held at Sayre Park in Bridgehampton. If you find yourself out east this weekend, you must go! There are important works of art for every budget and collecting level.
I am betting that artist Stiliana Alexieva, newly represented by one of my favorite galleries, London based Quantum Comtemporary Art, is going to be a big hit! She is a 34 year old painter originally from Bulgaria that paints fabulous seascapes using aluminium! After studying art at Sofia University, she moved to London in 2002.
I feel certain that by next summer, we will see her work in at least a few Hamptons’ homes showcased in design magazines. Frankly, I want one myself. We will break ground on a second story master suite addition to our beach house in Montauk right after Labor Day. I find Stiliana’s work so inspirational that it is driving my design decisions for the addition. Once we are farther along with the building I plan to select my own canvas.
So without further ado, take a peek at her work. You can see it in person at Quantum’s booth, number 434.
I love all of the movement and other subtleties of the sky in her art. When you see it in person, you will find that her art has a lot of texture as well. Plus the aluminium gives it the most unique luminosity.
While you are visiting Johnny and Tara at Quantum’s booth, please don’t miss the lovely work of artist Jessica Brown. We are proud owners of one of her paintings–click here to read about it and to see more of her work as well as Stiliana’s.
As I said right up front, this is an art show not to be missed–and I have only covered some of the offerings at one gallery!!
You gotta go!
