Current Obsession: Lily Wallpaper
By Lynn Byrne. If only my current spruce-up project around my house could involve new wallpaper. Alas, no. Larry is going along with my efforts, but pulls up short when I hint about anything that would actually disrupt our home more than a UPS delivery. So no new wallpaper.
Too bad, because I am currently drooling over Cole & Son’s classic Lily wallpaper.
Here it is in the pink colorway in the dining room of Keith Johnson, buyer-at-large for Anthropologie.
Gray has a dreamy moody feel.

Love it in beige.

Finally here is a close up of the blue green colorway. Has anyone seen a room shot using this color other than the one on the Cole & Son website (where I got this close up)? I would love to see it.
Cole & Son have this paper in their Contemporary II collection, but what I like most about it is its timelessness. Yes, it can have a mod feel, but at the same time, it could have been designed during the Art Nouveau period around the turn of the last century. I find it intriguing because you cannot easily pinpoint when it was first made. Someday I will find the perfect spot for it.
